Why as human beings we fall short despite Divine guidance ? BS FOAD 2008

God sent Divine Books and human messengers to explain to mankind how to live their lives. If we follow Divine message our character and behavior should improve. We learn from God’s messengers how they faced up to challenge and applied God’s message in their life. So why some people falls short?

• Faith not based on knowledge and proper understanding is weak and can be dangerous

“ Say: “ Are those with knowledge similar to those who are devoid of knowledge! Only those of understanding will remember “ Az-Zumar 39 : 9

Extremists do not listen to, nor debate or accept any opposing point of view, and regard those who do not share their convictions as non-believers

• Motivation is not always translated into action or commitment

• Priorities are different Some may be tempted by worldly pleasures; others understand their priorities :

“ Know that the life of this world is but play, amusement, passing time, glitter, boasting in riches and rivalry among yourselves in possessions and children, similar to the rain that produces growth that delights the tillers, then it withers, becomes yellow and crumbles “ Al-Hadeed 57 : 20

• Some are not willing to sacrifice and lack motivation or commitment

“ But if you patiently persevere and remain conscious of God that

• It is easy to give excuses

• We must understand our goal and be motivated, some understand but lack the will and motivation; others may act one time, but are not consistent; very few are committed.

“ Here you are invited to spend in the way of Allah, but some among you refuse to give and are misers. Those who covetously withhold are doing so against their own souls, for God is free of want, and you are the ones who are poor” Muhammad 47 :38

• What we get from our life is our deeds, good or bad:
