WHO ARE THE WORST OF PEOPLE ?

Ibn Abbas ( may Allah be pleased with him ) related that Allah’s messenger ( PBUH ) said: ( Shall I tell you who are the worst of people ? ) His companions said: Yes, if you wish O messenger of Allah. He said: ( Your worst is the person who distances himself from others; and who whips his slave; and does not give in charity or help anyone . Shall I tell you who is worst than that ? ) They said: Yes, if you wish O messenger of Allah. He said : ( He is the person who hates people and they hate him ). He said: ( Shall I tell you who is worst than that? ) They said: Yes, if you wish O messenger of God. He said: ( Those who do not overlook any mistake or shortcoming; and who do not accept excuses; and do not forgive ). He said: ( Shall I tell you who is worst than that ? ). They said: Yes, if you wish O messenger of Allah. He said : ( It is the person who others give up on him and do not expect any good from him, and are fearful of the harm that comes from him ) Narrated by Tabarani


What are the wrong and harmful characteristics that we are warned

  1. To distance ourselves from others, and not join other Muslims in their activities

  2. To be cruel and treat those under our authority with meanness and contempt or take advantage of their weakness

  3. To withhold and not give in charity or refuse to help those who need our help

  4. To dislike and hate other people, or envy them or wish them deprived of God’s blessing; In a similar way, others dislike and hate such a hateful person and stay away from him

  5. Not give an excuse or accept an apology from someone who made a mistake, nor lend a helping hand for someone in distress

  6. To be harsh and sever in enmity

  7. Never forgive a person or give him a second chance, and never forget their wrong deed

  8. To be of no help to anyone, to the extent that people give up and not expect anything good from you. At the same time, they are afraid of you and of the harm that can come from you and do not feel safe in your presence.
