(West Chester, OH)   The Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati announces a four-part lecture series on the basic teachings of Islam, to begin Thursday, January 31, 2002.  The lecturer will be Dr. B. Salem Foad, local rheumatologist and member of the Islamic Center board. The series will be held on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. and will run from January 31 through February 21, 2002.

The four topics to be covered include Beliefs & Practices of Islam; The Muslim Family & Status of Women; Jihad & The Concept of Fighting; Past, Present & Future of Islam.  The lecture series is free and open to the public.
